The Certificate II in Vocational Preparation for Women is designed to provide a grounding in work-related literacies, employability and communication skills as an introduction to vocational competencies.
Learners are able to develop their work-related literacies, numeracy and communication skills as well as their personal and interpersonal skills in this qualification to move successfully into employment or further study.
Work-related literacies may include:
- Accessing, reading and using different types of information
- Writing and recording information
- Listening to different types of information
- Giving different types of verbal information
- Performing a range of numeracy tasks
- Developing and applying skills in appropriate new technologies for information discovery, transfer, analysis, review and communication
