Description:
Graduates will have the knowledge and skills to contribute to the capacity of civil and structural engineering and related industries and to maintain their competitiveness in a global marketplace. They will apply the latest technologies, value add to existing products, processes and services and assist with the development of new, sustainable, and innovative solutions.

Eight threads run through the program to give students maximum, functional coverage in the field of civil and structural engineering. These threads comprise of environmental issues in civil and structural engineering, engineering technologies, laboratory and field-testing fundamentals, construction bases (soils, rock, fluids), construction materials (aggregate, steel, timber, bitumen, asphalt, concrete), pavement design and maintenance, quality assurance in materials testing, and engineering management.
