Description:
The overall educational outcomes of the course are to enable the learners to:
• comprehend, practise and observe Jewish laws and customs
• develop specific community skills to instruct in Jewish studies on a variety of levels as appropriate to the needs of the community, and
• function as spiritual leaders and role models in view of their knowledge of Jewish law, customs and theology and their ability to impart this knowledge while performing communal functions.
The modules on communal leadership training are electives in order to give students the opportunity to select those that best suit their personal strengths and preferences. This also gives them an opportunity to develop proficiency in the areas that they anticipate will be most useful to them in their future careers.
